Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore for Fraud

The debate on “global warming” is, dare I say, warming up? Many prominent climatologists have stated that claims of “man made global warming” are overblown.

Today, according to Fox News:

John Coleman, who founded the [Weather Channel] in 1982, suggests suing for fraud proponents of global warming, including Al Gore, and companies that sell carbon credits.

“Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question,” Coleman said.

“As you look at the atmosphere over the last 25 years, there’s been perhaps a degree of warming, perhaps probably a whole lot less than that, and the last year has been so cold that that’s been erased,” he said.

“I think if we continue the cooling trend a couple of more years, the general public will at last begin to realize that they’ve been scammed on this global-warming thing.”

As I have been saying for years, the concept of man made global warming is overblown. The environmentalists will use brand marketing to their advantage by choosing the hottest summer days to have their “global warming” rallies.

Have you noticed how quiet they’ve been during this past winter now that it was the coldest since 2001?

Many have equated the “global warming” crowd with a modern cult. You’ve got your “god figure,” Al Gore. You’ve got your disciples who blindly follow their cult leader without question. You’ve got large scale donations in the form of “carbon credits.”

And that last element is they key. Follow the money. The concept of carbon credits is that you can purchase these credits from “carbon credit organizations” that will sell them to you. In exchange, you can emit more pollution to the environment.

Many environmentalist ideas sound good at first thought, but are based on false assumptions.

Take forests, for example. For years, environmentalists argued that we should leave forest undergrowth alone as that is the way “nature” wanted it. Those with science on their side argued this was wrong.

What happened? There were MORE, not less, forest fires. The thin, dead wood, that underbrush is comprised, ignited and fueled more and more forest fires, destroying many more forests. AND FOREST FIRES RELEASE EVIL CARBON DIOXIDE INTO THE ATMOSPHERE!!

Had the underbrush been cleared, as it is in many areas, there are less forest fires. But we shouldn’t let facts get in the way of good science, should we?

I hope this does go to trial. I hope we have a congressional hearing on the matter that occupies the entire summer in the way the Iran-Contra hearings and major league baseball hearings.

In this way, we can finally watch the environmentalists flail as their strawman collapses.

My question is this: will Al Gore have his Nobel prize revoked for promoting bad science and costing countries and economies trillions of dollars?
